201 NORTH NUGENT, JOHNSON CITY, BLANCO COUNTY, TX 78636 $510,000 SOLD
The Pearl Hotel, began in the early 1880's and completed in 1893 by the founder of Johnson City, James Polk Johnson.
Johnson built gin/mill and the building that is the present day bank. The hotel was named for his daughter Pearl. In 1929, Dave G. Adams bought the building, stuccoed the exterior and renamed it the Adams Hotel. It was operated by himself and or his family for about forty years. In the 1950's, a one story addition was connected to the rear of the hotel and was part of the original Johnson City school house. The building has been a hotel, lawyers offices, and it is presently an antique shop and tea room. It is located on the square in Johnson City, the center of town and would make a fine bed and breakfast, offices or a shop co-operative. CLICK ON PICTURE TO ENLARGE
